Letter of Commitment of the Applicant
The natural person or institutional entity (hereinafter referred to as the "Commitment Maker") undertakes to the organizer of the call and evaluation of works for the 2022 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award that the Commitment Maker is fully aware of and has voluntarily accepted the Call for Works for the 2022 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award and hereby makes the following commitments and warranties to the organizer:
1. The Commitment Maker warrants that it is the publisher or creator of the entry submitted for the call for works for the 2022 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award (hereinafter referred to as "the Entry") and that it has full and exclusive copyright in the Entry.
2. The Commitment Maker warrants that its Entry is an original work and that the applicant will be liable for the relevant legal consequences in the event of intellectual property or copyright disputes arising from copying and plagiarism.
3. The Commitment Maker agrees that the organizer may edit, publish, broadcast, screen and exhibit part or all of this work via the relevant media for non-commercial purposes such as publicity and promotion.
4. The Commitment Maker warrants that its Entry does not involve any infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of any third party. In the event of any infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of a third party by the Commitment Maker's entry, the Commitment Maker shall bear corresponding legal liability, and the organizer shall not be held liable in this regard.
5. In the event of any reputational or economic loss to the organizer as a result of infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of others by the Commitment Maker's entry or any other fault of the Commitment Maker, the organizer has the right to require the Commitment Maker to take adequate and appropriate measures to defend the organizer from such losses. At the same time, the organizer reserves the right to pursue liability and claim for compensation from the Commitment Maker.
6. The Commitment Maker warrants that its commitment is true and reliable and that it will fulfill it. In the event of damage to the organizer as a result of a breach of commitment by the Commitment Maker, the Commitment Maker shall bear corresponding legal liability. At the same time, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the Commitment Maker from applying or winning.
7. The Commitment Maker warrants that if it wins the award, it will participate in the award ceremony and relevant activities such as creation exchanges, book sharing and theoretical seminars, as arranged by the organizer, that it is obliged to affix or print the logo reading "Work Winning the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award" in the upper right corner of the books in stock for publication in connection with the award-winning work, as well as in the reprint of the books, as requested by the organizer, and that it is obliged to mark "Work Winning the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award" in a prominent position in various media promotion activities and online sales.
8. The Letter of Commitment is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
9. The Letter of Commitment shall take effect from the date of signature of the commitment maker or the seal of the institution making the commitment.
